Our Christ-centered, holistic ministry serves to champion strategic change in the education system, with a focus on quality early education. Our goal is to create an equitable landscape, that creates equal opportunity to learn and grow, no matter what zip code a child lives in. Our vision is to impact the future of Houston by empowering children to reach their fullest potential.

Generation One serves the children and families of the Third Ward, an under-resourced population living among high crime and poverty. The effects of poverty and a detrimental environment create deficits in development for children, age zero to five years, which cause greater problems later in education and in life. Working with families and children, early in the lives of the children, we are creating opportunities for these children to learn, grow, and thrive.

Your support impacts the lives of children and their families, now, and in the future by supporting:

• a “living laboratory” environment, seeking and implementing cutting-edge educational practices an evidenced-based, trauma-informed social and emotional program that can be replicated across the education system;
• a comprehensive family support plan headed by professionals in the forefront of their field;
• quality after-school programming that continues to guide Academy students as they continue their education in kindergarten through 8^th grade.
