Michael grew up in Brazoria, Texas, a small town south of Houston. At the age of 12, he was invited to church by a friend from school and came to faith in Christ. He and his wife Nina were married in 2008. They have four wonderful children. Michael studied Music Theory at Houston Baptist University and received his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Michael has been involved in worship ministry since he was a teenager and served on staff at Houston’s First Baptist Church before joining the team at GBC in early 2018.
