Sending Program

Grace Bible Church exists to glorify God by making disciples who transform the world.

To live out our purpose, we seek to transform the world through the Gospel of Christ and acts of compassion. We believe that the Christian life is most pleasing to God and most joyful for us when we're giving our lives away. Whether here in Houston or somewhere overseas, we hope that you can find a way to give yourself for the Kingdom.

The GBC Sending Program exists to provide a pathway for potential missionaries to explore ministry, prepare for ministry, be commissioned by and stay connected to GBC while on your mission. If partners are interested in having GBC serve as their home/sending church for long-term, cross-cultural ministry, we require participation in this process. While it's not a formal residency or internship, it is an opportunity to prepare for cross-cultural ministry.

Participants in our Sending Program can expect the following:

  • Three phases: assessment, equipping, and field preparation
  • Completion of a lengthy assessment form and Background Check
  • Assessment Interview with GBC leadership
  • A Personal Development Plan through which equipping for further ministry takes place
  • Assistance in determining a mission field, and with preparing for the field once placed on a team
  • The support of GBC as a home/sending church

If you are interested in being sent as a missionary or as professional into a cross-cultural field by Grace Bible Church, start here by expressing interest.
