Small Groups

Q.

What is the difference between a growth group and a community group?

A.

At GBC we focus our ministry efforts to be in line with our purpose statement: "We exist to glorify God by making disciples who transform the world." As a result, those who consider GBC to be their church home are first encouraged to join a Growth Group. The purpose of Growth Group is to equip people--all different types of people from various walks of life--through a focused curriclum and community. We believe the ministry skills and foundational truths experienced in Growth Group will help shape God's people into faithful, worshipping disciples.

Upon completion of a Growth Group, we believe everyone should plug into one of the various Community Groups offered at GBC. These studies are more topical in the curriculum and also emphasize the importance of being in community.

Please see our discipleship groups page for more information.
