The WorkFaith Connection is a Christ-centered program designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to achieve long-term employment, personal stabilization, and career advancement.

Ways to Serve

In addition to praying for our clients and their families, WorkFaith would welcome members of the Grace Bible Church community in volunteer roles that would directly serve our clients. Opportunities include:

Application Advisor: Volunteers will proofread, review, and edit the participant’s first draft of their application. Using the Application Feedback Form and the specific points presented in the training video, volunteers will advise what corrections need to be implemented for our clients to create their "Pristine" Application Template. This role is suitable for individual volunteers who possess great literacy skills, an attention to detail and the ability to give constructive advice in a clear, concise, and gracious manner. Specific training will be required to participate.

Client Support Outreach: Volunteers will call and check in with clients who have registered and or begun the program but did not finish and provide support resources.

Virtual Practice Interviewer: Volunteers will conduct interviews for clients currently enrolled in our JSA class. Volunteers will assist participants practice answering difficult interview questions and provide feedback after each question. Serving in this capacity, you will instill hope and confidence for those in job search. Specific training will be required in order to participate.

Job Coach: (Train the Trainer) WorkFaith’s Train the Trainer Program is an opportunity for volunteers to be trained as a job coach and support our clients on their job search and/or job advancement. They will be asked to attend 3, 2-hour training courses on how to successfully support a WorkFaith client on their job journey. They will provide 1:1 coaching sessions with WorkFaith clients on a monthly basis for at least a year or as needed. They will navigate their coaching meetings by utilizing WorkFaith Now, which includes 100+ training videos. Volunteers will be required to attend quarterly trainings with WorkFaith staff and will maintain consistent communication regarding client updates, training needs, and more.
