THE ILUNGAS

Allan and Delphine, together with their four sons (Adam, Alex, Able, Allan Jr.) and daughter (Abigail) have been serving as full-time missionaries in northern Zambia and southern D.R. Congo for the past 14 years. The Ilungas are passionate about making disciples of Jesus Christ to God’s glory through a vibrant gospel partnership with indigenous church leaders in Zambia and D.R. Congo.

From Musenga, their base of operation located in the Copperbelt region of Zambia, Allan endeavors to equip, empower, and encourage the next generation of leaders for Christ by:

  1. Preaching the gospel in word and deed

  2. Training indigenous church leaders to multiply disciples with global impact through:

    • Disciple maker program (for the whole church) ~ 1 year.

    • 3 years pastoral training cohort

    • Ongoing coaching, tools, and materials

  3. Modeling community development through:

    • Dignity projects for the most vulnerable

    • Income generating projects.

Delphine spends countless hours with children and young girls from our community teaching them life skills and pointing them to Christ. She also meets with the ladies for weekly prayers and bible study.

Additionally, our home is often full of people in transit or coming to stay for a while. So, she pours her soul into providing hospitality by cooking for, cleaning after, and joyfully serving as many people as the Lord sends our way any given week. We wake up every day with a deep burden to seek the lost, care for the needy, and love the lonely. We seek to be the light into the darkest corner of our region.

Ways to Pray

The Illungas are in need of prayers to encourage and energize their souls as they pour themselves out for the Gospel. Their great prayer is that God gets the glory and that they may not become distracted by lesser things.
